Play Rooms at Home

We are putting together a series of short videos to help everyone prepare for setting up a playroom at home, should the need arise.

Dear Families,

We are putting together a series of short videos to help everyone prepare for setting up a playroom at home, should the need arise.

If we need to shut down our practice because of the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic in the future, we can always run therapy sessions via Telehealth through the NDIS (this means online). All families will need is a computer with email access and WIFI or an internet connection. We can send families the link via email to log in if and when the time comes. We are already using Telehealth with some of our remote families who cannot access our services regularly.

At present, Telehealth sessions cannot be charged through Medicare – but this may change in the future. They can only be charged through the NDIS or for clients who are paying out of pocket.

Please feel free to discuss any information or brainstorm new ideas with your therapists or Christie.

Thanks for taking the time to watch our short videos. We hope they are useful to you for any occasion, not just during emergencies. Please feel free to share these videos with credit to My Therapy House ®

Video 1 – Storage for Your Playroom: Dana and Alyssa talk about affordable storage options for different types of toys. These are all things we use around My Therapy House®, and make it simple to keep distractions out of sight while allowing ease of access, enabling kids to help with packing away, and great portability.

Video 2 – Choosing Toys and Equipment for your Playroom: In this video, Dana and Alyssa present a guide to the different types of toys that work well for home playrooms.

We also have our range of books, which are available online, as well as a range of musical instruments for sale at reception. Please see Christie for purchases. These can both help children with their play and language skills, and are another portable activity that can be done at home, or anywhere.

We hope all our families are staying safe and healthy, and practicing lots of hand-washing!

Thank you for watching!

Up Close and Personal with Kristine Orbiso

From my very first interactions with the team, there was something that just felt different. The environment felt warm, personal, and genuinely connected. I was looking for a place where people support one another, openly share ideas, and are passionate about growing together.

Why I Wrote Attuned Workplaces

I did not write Attuned Workplaces because I wanted to add another book to the world.
I wrote it because I could no longer ignore what I was seeing.
