Our Therapeutic Supports stream is focused on supporting children aged 7-12 years of age (or above in some special cases) to develop their regulation, social emotional, communication, play and independence skills if they have found that other services have not been suitable for them. Most of our Therapeutic Supports work is with children who have entered My Therapy House® via our Early Intervention intake stream during their younger years.

Each child has their own individual profile and we work with the child to optimise their strengths. At My Therapy House® we believe in the importance of relationships and building on those relationships to enhance children’s development, as well as working with the parents/ caregivers to support the child to reach their full potential.

We are a specialist team with certification in different evidence based therapeutic techniques, which allow us to meet the child’s individual needs. These include DIR Floortime®, Attachment Theory, Marte Meo®, Hanen Parent Training Programs®, PEERS Social Skills®, and Social Thinking Curriculum®.

Assessments are done in collaboration with the individual and family. We focus on the strengths of the individual and family and provide strategies for the individual and/or parents to support the challenges.
