What is your role at My Therapy HouseⓇ?
Consultant on hmmm…. everything, but especially security, IT equipment, IT systems, property maintenance, business and the latest idea by Dana. I created the business name “My Therapy House”. The MY is used as everyone is getting some type of therapy by being there and everyone needs to participate in therapy for the best results. The “Therapy” is what we do. “House” is because we work together in a house, the best location for a personal touch. Even the design of the layout is thought about from a child’s point of view. Going to a commercial or medical location maye bring back bad memories, but going to a house and entering the house via the back is what we do with close family and friends. This also allows the children to see and feel the grass, the sandpit, the cubby house and the trampoline and know this is a location for play not testing and failures.
From a business perspective, Dana and I focused on quality of service as being the sustainable competitive advantage that will be difficult to replicate. The staff all work together closely assisting in ideas for play therapy to simply cleaning up and putting items away. Whenever the staff have a moment, they talk about their sessions, successes and what they could have done better. The team is the heart and soul of My Therapy HouseⓇ
