At My Therapy House® we work through play, music, rhythm and parenting support to help children develop their routines around toileting, bathing, eating, sleeping and dressing.

Parents are informed about the readiness skills needed for these areas of development. We also work with children and their families around transition into adolescence and puberty.

We use a creative approach which includes using visual cues such as pictures, customised rhymes and songs as well as play, if appropriate. Our Development Through Play Specialists use much loved children’s stories to teach children dressing and grooming skills.

Self confidence grows from competence. An individual needs a positive and realistic perception of his/her own abilities. This comes from words of praise and encouragement for achievements, great and small.
