Ideas are driven by emotion and a desire to connect with others, so it brings me great joy to help children achieve that through supporting their communication skills.
Maria has been a speech pathologist for 7 years, working exclusively with children and their families. She always knew even whilst studying at university that she wanted to support children’s communication development. Seeing a child’s progress in being able to express themselves, get their needs met and engage with their people and environments is always a cause for celebration for Maria! She has completed the DIRFloortime 101 course through the International Council on Development and Learning (ICDL), and since then has focused on integrating those foundational concepts into her therapy. Developing awareness of a child’s individual differences, supporting regulation, engagement, shared attention and reciprocity forms a firm foundation for which communication can flourish.
Maria’s clinic days are Mondays through Fridays.
